The Chalfont St Peter Women's Cricket team is set to host its first Women's Softball Cricket Festival this Sunday, 1 September.
Founded in 2022 by Tanya Westney, the team, now in its third season, has played both hardball and softball cricket in leagues such as the Bucks Cricket Women’s Softball League and the Home Counties Women’s League Super 8s hardball.
Their membership boasts a diverse community of 50 players, ranging from teenage girls to women in their mid 70s.
This weekend's festival at Chalfont St Peter Cricket Club promises not only a day of exciting cricket, but also a raffle to benefit Women in Sport and Take Her Lead charities.
The raffle will be drawn by renowned former cricketer, Anita Thorose, who has notably played for Thames Valley, Berkshire, Marylebone Cricket Club and England.
The organisers have extended an invitation to the local community to show support and enjoy a fantastic day out.
