Wycombe Wanderers’ home match against Peterborough United this month is set to be one of the club’s highest attended games this season.
Taking place on January 24 at Adams Park, the fixture will occur on the Chairboys’ Community Day, which is part of the EFL’s Community Weekend – an initiative which began last season.
In order to help get more bums on seats, there will be a wide range of activities at HP12, with ticket prices being slashed to £10 for adults and £5 for children, in a bid to help raise the attendance numbers in South Buckinghamshire.
The day has been designed to welcome fans old and new from across the community to enjoy the action against Wycombe's 2024 Wembley EFL Trophy Final opponents, as well as showcasing the work of the Wanderers Foundation and the heroes that make its wide-ranging programmes thrive across the local area.
The foundation, which is the club’s charitable arm, engages with thousands of local people each year, delivering impactful projects year-round with the ultimate aim of creating an educated, healthier, more connected community.
This is done by projects including the Adams Park-based Warm Hub and Lightbulb Cafe, wellbeing walks, chair yoga, Youth Leaders Award and a complete women and girls' pathway.
On the day, activities will include face painting, football darts and a fast-feet challenge, as well as a pop-up shop of Chairboys merchandise.
The fixture against the Posh will kick-off at 3 pm.
Going into the match, Wycombe have won five of their last 13 outings against the London Road team, drawing four and losing four.
