Wycombe Wanderers winger James Tilley is set to leave the club this month.

The 27-year-old, who only joined last summer from AFC Wimbledon, has played 13 times since his arrival in South Buckinghamshire.

From those 13 appearances, six have been starts, with only one coming in the league.

He has also scored one goal for the Chairboys, which was a late equaliser in a 2-2 home draw against Reading back in August.

It has been reported by transfer expert Peter O’Rourke that Tilley has garnered the attention of several League One outfits, which include his former club, AFC Wimbledon.

Tilley initially played in Wycombe’s first seven matches of the season in all competitions, but missed nearly two months of the campaign after suffering a hamstring injury in the club’s 2-0 away win at Wigan Athletic in the League Cup.

He has only played three games since his return in November, with his last outing being in the 4-0 away loss versus Exeter City in the FA Cup at the start of December.

The Free Press understands that Wycombe are looking to offload players before bringing in recruits.

The transfer window will close at 7 pm on Monday, February 2.
