Nathan Lowe scored six minutes into his Wycombe debut, helping Wanderers defeat promotion‑pushing Stevenage 3–1 at Adams Park.

The Chairboys took the lead on 15 minutes thanks to a brilliant finish from Cauley Woodrow.

The on‑loan Luton Town forward latched onto an excellent pass from Dan Harvie for his eighth goal of the season and his third in as many games at Adams Park.

He held his run, let the ball bounce once, and then lifted it over Filip Marschall in the Stevenage goal.

It was his eighth of the season and his third in as many home games.

Wanderers continued to dominate and should have doubled their lead four minutes later when Jamie Mullins was denied by the goalkeeper.

The Republic of Ireland U21 international had another chance soon after, but he dragged his shot wide from 20 yards after space opened up for him.

Stevenage improved as the game went on. Matt Phillips forced Will Norris into a good save, while Daniel Phillips was inches away from an equaliser.

The leveller eventually came on 48 minutes when Jamie Reid tapped in from two yards after Harvey White’s free‑kick struck the post.

However, Lowe, who replaced Woodrow as a second‑half substitute, restored Wycombe’s lead by shrugging off Dan Sweeney before placing his finish into the net.

Junior Quitirna then wrapped up the win with a stunning 20‑yard strike in the seventh of eight added‑on minutes.

The victory was the perfect tonic after two disappointing away days at Reading and Exeter City respectivly, as the Chairboys are on 47 games for the season with 13 games remaining.

It was only the sixth time between the two teams that both sides had scored in the same contest, while Stevenage boasted several ex-Wycombe players in their team.

These names included Matt Phillips, Bez Lubala, Jasper Pattenden, Saxon Earley and Chem Campbell.

Up next for Wycombe is another home game, this time against relegation-threatened Burton Albion on February 28.
