FORMER Chesham defender Fitz Hall made his first appearance for Southampton on Tuesday when he played in their Carling Cup quarter-final defeat against Bolton.
Hall, who was playing Ryman League football less than two years ago, was a late replacement for Claus Lundekvam and played his part in keeping the score goalless after 90 minutes, with the deadlock only broken late on in extra time.
Afterwards, manager Gordon Strachan praised his young debutant.
He said: "Fitz Hall did well because you know your centre-halves will be tested here."
