WYCOMBE have had an undisclosed bid for Aldershot midfielder Scott Donnelly rejected by the League Two Club.

Shots chief Kevin Dillon slammed the offer as derisory.

But Blues, who have lost four midfielders over the last week, could return with a higher bid for the 21-year-old who is out of contract in the summer.

Wanderers have seen Tommy Doherty walk out, Scott Davies return to Reading after his loan while Matt Bloomfield and Ian Westlake both had operations last week and will be out for up to two months leaving a gaping hole in their midfield.

Former Shots boss Waddock saw Donnelly as the perfect fit. He knows him well having managed him at the Recreation Ground.

Earlier this month Waddock returned to Aldershot to prise their captain Adam Hinshelwood away on a free transfer but the Shots are being much less accomodating this time saying they want to hold onto Donnelly and also striker Marvin Morgan.
