CHESTER Mounsher smashed his personal best by more than eight seconds in the U15 boys 800m at Bedford.

The Wycombe Phoenix athlete finished in two minutes., seven seconds, giving him grade one national standard.

He then ran a superb 57.7 third leg in the 4x400m relay and was first, along with Mark Booth, Owain Williams and Chris Elder, Elsewhere, there were personal bests for Mark Booth (9.56.6) and Chris Long (10.03) in the 3,000m. Lyle Edwards finished second in the 800m in 2.06.5.

Lucy Rogers had a strong 1,500m race, knocking eight seconds off her PB to finish in 5.15.1.

In the U13 girls, Annette Dean (10.6) and Sian Huckstable (11.1) had marvellous performances, finishing first in the A and B strings in the 75m. The roles were reversed in the long jump with Huckstable leaping 3.88 and Dean 3.77.

Pippa Woolvern was first in the 1,200m in 4.14.6, second in the 70m hurdles in 13.9, and second in the shot with a throw of 4.8cm.

Emma Davies was first in the 300m (45.2) and the 800m (2.33).

Will Langley and Sam Leslie had first place runs in the 1,500m.

Heather Forde threw 7.60 in the shot and Alice Groom jumped 1.45 in the High Jump.

Silver performances came in the Javelin for Lara Nevine (19.76) and Gabbi Kennett (14.93).

David Bushrod was runner-up in the javelin.There were second places for Immie Hillier (2.43.9) and Jordie Wetherall (2.59) in the 800m.

Carl Fletcher had wins in the hammer, shot and discuss, with PB's in the shot (10.45) and discuss (33.03m) in Battersea in the Southern Mens league .

Rob Bushrod was first in the 400m hurdles and 110m hurdles while Ian Parkinson won the pole vault.

The 4x100m squad of Carl Fletcher, Biant Sagheera, Rob Bushrod and Pete Nugent was also victorious and there was a win in the 4x400m relay with Matt Weis replacing Fletcher.
