NATHAN Tyson shot down Barnet on Saturday and then set his sights on Aston Villa in tonight's Carling Cup second round clash at Adams Park (ko 7.45pm).

The deadly marksman killed off Barnet with his tenth goal of the campaign and he is now aiming to gun down the Premiership big boys and fire Wycombe through to the third round for the first time in their history.

Speaking after his goal earned Blues a 1-0 win over the Bees, Tyson said: "Now we can really look forward to Aston Villa. I'm looking forward to testing myself against Premiership defenders.

"I want to play at the highest level I can and this will be a good test for me. The way I am going at the moment I fancy myself for a goal against them and we feel we have got a chance of knocking them out.

"They are a Premiership team and will be favourites but they may not fancy coming down here. It is not something they are used to. They are coming to our territory and we want to make it as uncomfotrable as we can for them.

"We will be geared up for it and I am sure we will give them a game.

"Everyone is buzzing at the club and we are looking forward to it."

And skipper Roger Johnson also believes Wycombe, who are unbeaten after ten league and cup matches, can produce a cup shock.

He said: "We played them in a pre-season friendly and although they beat us 2-0 I thought it was unjust and they knew that.

"I think we can go into it the game with a lot of confidence. We are flying and they are not having the best of times.

"It's going to be hard but I think an upset could be on the cards. No-one has enjoyed playing against Nathan Tyson yet and, even though they are Premiership defenders, they will be wary of him."

Blues have doubts over Kevin Betsy and Rob Lee so don't be surprised if boss John Gorman goes for it from the off. He has been impressed by Jonny Dixon's former in the reserves and could even be persuaded to bring his striker in for a start alongside Tyson and striker partner Tommy Mooney.
