FC BEACONSFIELD have opened up a three-point gap at the top of the High Wycombe Sunday Combination.

They maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 6-2 win over third-placed Italia Unita.

High flying new boys Cressex Club lost ground when they lost their first game of the season, 3-0, to Wycombe Town.

In Division One Wycombe Town Reserves beat newly-promoted Crown Hazlemere 5-1 at Holtspur whilst King George V and Fleece shared the points with a 3-3 draw. Royal Standard still top the league though, thanks to a 4-1 victory over a struggling Black Boy side.

FC Beaconsfield Reserves head the chasing pack after a 3-2 win over FA Dun and Bradstreet.

In Division Two, Queens Head Rangers snatched all three points with a 3-2 victory over Chinnor Exiles Reserves. James Wright hit their last minute winner with Rangers' other goals coming from Stuart Nagle and Alf Messenger.

However, the division's high scorers were AFC Totteridge who netted ten times against bottom side Hithercroft Reserves.

Micklefield Inn kept up their perfect record with a 5-2 trouncing of Chinnor Athletic.

Just one point separates the top four sides in Division Three after all four won last weekend.

Leading the way are Beacons Bottom who left it late to beat AFC Sporting Wycombe 3-2, despite being a goal up in the first minute through Greg Bartholomew.

Sporting levelled midway into the first half. However, success was to be Beacons' who had to wait until the final ten minutes, with strikes from Stuart Maclellan and substitute Simon Hathaway to bag maximum points and strengthen their lead at the top.

Snooker Leisure are second on goal difference after a 3-1 victory over Pheasant. Then come AFC Golden Cross who hit basement side Wycombe Hermits for six without reply.

Two goals apiece from Paul Pidgeon and Stuart Cutts proved enough for Three Horseshoes to grab maximum points and move up to fourth, against Biffa who scored their only goal through Paul Smith.

In the same division, Wycombe Marsh RBL and Four Seasons recorded their first victories of their campaigns over Wycombe Town A and FC Beaconsfield A respectively.

In Division Four, Longwick SC and Chinnor Athletic Reserves shared eight goals and the points, while Star and Crescent showed why they are top of the table with a 6-1 defeat of IPA Dolphin.

AFC Golden Cross Reserves hit the back of the net seven times against King George V Reserves who managed to find for a couple of goals themselves.

In Division Five, Queens Head Reserves went down 5-2 to Hithercroft Youth at Hazlemere Recreation Park with Graham Potts collecting a brace for Rangers Reserves.

Wye Rangers' Dave Ferguson netted a second-half hat-trick after coming on as substitute whilst team mates Mark Anastasis, Matt Edwards and Stuart Westbrook also got on the scoresheet against O'Neill's Pub side.

Two potential Division Five winners, Cressex Club Reserves and Bucks College Reserves, were level at four goals each when the final whistle was blown on their competitive fixture.
