DANNY Senda was set to meet Wanderers this week to open discussions on a new contract.

The 24-year-old's current deal runs out in the summer and the player is keeping his options open.

He said: "Everyone knows my contract is up at the end of the year and I don't know who is going to make an offer, if anyone is going to make an offer.

"But I'm an ambitious person and I think any player aspires to play at the highest level."

Remaining at Adams Park is his first option though.

He said: "The first thing I want to do is see what Wycombe have got to offer me. They have offered me a deal so my agent and I will be sitting down with them to talk about that. I would expect the talks to probably go on for about a month and then I'll sit down and make my decision."

Senda has made more than 200 appearances for Wanderers since making his debut in 1999 and is one of only four-ever presents in the league this season.

The club wanted to open negotiations with him during the summer, but were put off until the end of the year. Their current position on top of League Two must be in their favour.

Senda said: "It's a position which I fully expected us to be in. Wycombe are doing well and at this moment in time I think I'm doing well. I did well with Sergio Torres when he was on my side of the field, but Kevin Betsy and I have built up a good relationship and at the moment we just go straight into playing well together.

"I'm enjoying it and I'd love to stay at this football club. They have offered me a deal so let's just see what happens after I've spoken to them."
