ENGLAND suffered an embarrassing 31-6 defeat to France on Sunday, leaving mixed feelings for Wasps players.
Raphael Ibanez was the star of the show as France beat England easily.
But Joe Worsley, Josh Lewsey, Matt Dawson Simon Shaw, Lawrence Dallaglio, and Tom Voyce were left to lick their wounds and reflect on the fact that England are a long way off being good enough to defend the World Cup.
Dawson nearly missed the game after being laid low by a stomach bug but he was one of the few players that looked like they deserved to be on the field.
Elsewhere, England had better success, wth the U21s running out 30-17 victors in France, thanks to excellent performances by Wasps' Thom Evans and James Haskell.
The women also kept up their Six Nations Grand Slam hopes with a 28-0 win over France on Saturday. Winchmore Hill's Michaela Staniford continued her good run in the centre with an impressive display.
