JOHNNY Isaac's match-winning brace against Bracknell on Saturday made him Marlow's top-scorer this season, but boss Kevin Stone believes the player should be contributing more.

He said: "I don't think he would still be with us if he made the most of his ability every Saturday.

"Physically, he's got everything you need. He's 6ft 2ins, is quick over the ground, he has a hell of a shot and is good in the air.

"He's got everything you need to push on and play at a higher level.

"He took his two goals against Bracknell really well, we just wish he would do that every week."

Isaac, who has played in a variety of positions this season, has notched 11 times in total, and his recent brace made it four goals in his last five games.

Stone said: "I know one or two clubs have had a look and if he had the opportunity to move to a higher division, we wouldn't stand in his way. But he's been at Marlow for years and we're very happy to have him."

Isaac's form has been a major factor in turning Marlow into the surprise package of Division One West this season, but with eight games remaining four of which are against teams challenging them for a play-off position there is still work to do.

Today they host Sutton Coldfield, currently one place above them, and the following weekend third-placed Brackley are the visitors.

Stone said: "We haven't been outplayed often this season, but both those teams gave us a footballing lesson earlier in the season.

"They're going to be very tough games and if we could come through them unbeaten we'd be satisfied."

Colin Simpson is a doubt with a hip injury, while Jeff Lamb and John Beale are both doubts.

Adam Dickens will certainly miss out after undergoing a knee operation on Monday night that could rule him out for the rest of the season.
