SWIMMING: Wycombe District won 28 golds at the Berks & South Bucks Counties Championships in Maidenhead.
The swimmers also added 18 silvers and 18 bronzes to collect 56 medals.
Katie Ambridge was the top medal-winner, scooping ten golds and two bronzes. The golds came in the open, junior and 15/16 years 200m individual medley, the open, junior and 15/16 years 200m breaststroke, the junior and 15/16 years 100m breaststroke and the open and junior 100m butterfly.
Alex Vine, 20, collected golds in the open and 17+ years 200m butterfly and the 17+ years 50m breaststroke, silvers in the open 50m breaststroke and 17+ years 400m freestyle and bronzes in the open 100m freestyle and 17+ years 50m butterfly.
Team-mate David Ryan, 18, added three more golds to his collection in the open and 17+ years 400m freestyle and the open 50m breaststroke.
The swimming session saw the men's open squad of Scott Mudge, David Ryan, Alex Vine and James Poulter retain both their titles for the 4x100m freestyle team and 4x100m medley team Anna Jemielity, 16, won the open and 15/16 years 200m backstroke, while Sam Straughan, 12, gained gold in the 12-years 400m freestyle. There were also golds for Cordelia Wilson, 15, and Ellie Straughan, 14.
