PREMIERSHIP side Aston Villa want a re-match of their epic 8-3 League Cup victory over Wycombe Wanderers.

The Midlanders who came back from 3-1 down at half time to win September's 11-goal thriller have asked the Blues if they can come back for a friendly on July 29.

Watford also want to visit Adams Park on that day.

The Blues are delighted to have two Premiership teams vying for the right to play them after negotiations to bring Chelsea back broke down.

Jose Mourinho was keen to bring his champions back to Wycombe following the success of last year's visit but the Stamford Bridge club's busy summer commitments have ruled it out.

Wanderers are only planning to hold one home friendly as they begin their build up to the new season.

Instead, the Blues have agreed a number of warm up games against lower league opposition.

They will test themselves against Conference sides Woking and Aldershot. They visit Woking on July 18 and Aldershot on July 21.

The Blues will also visit Sergio Torres' former club Basingstoke Town on July 18 in a game which is part of the Argentinian's transfer fee.

They also visit Staines Town on July 25.
