STRIKER Jon Paul-Pittman took his tally into double figures with Blues’ opener on Saturday and now he is eyeing goal number 11 at Tranmere tonight.

Pittman’s strike moved him level with Matt Harrold at the top of the club’s scoring charts despite being in and out of the side this season.

He hit it off with new partner Alex Revell and the pair look set to be given another opportunity at Prenton Park tonight.

Pittman said: “The manager has probably been banging his head against the wall trying to find the right pair and hopefully me and Revs have earned the chance to stay in the team.

“I always want to start matches. I know I can make an impact coming off the bench but I don’t want to be that player that you can just shove on. I want to be there from the start.”

And he says Blues mustn’t go back into their old habits of being tense tonight, now that they have given themselves another life in the survival race.

He said: “This game coming up is the biggest game of the season and hopefully I can bang in a few more.”
