TONY Hanks has not quite written off Wasps’ play-off hopes yet.
Their defeat at Bath on Saturday means they need to beat Newcastle on the final day of the Guinness Premiership season while hoping Leeds win at The Recreation Ground.
Leeds will have nothing to play for after securing their survival with a victory over Worcester, but Hanks believes the team that did the double over his men this year have one more big game in them.
He said: “I wouldn’t discount Leeds from doing anything. I don’t think anyone respects Leeds as much as us.
“We have to perform well and get the result and what happens down at Bath happens, but I’m sure Leeds would love to have a team that they’ve beaten home and away in the top four.”
