BUCKS have drawn their match with Northumberland after crucial contributions from High Wycombe and Gerrards Cross players this week.

Northumberland scored 425 in their first innings, but 76 from Cross’ Hamza Taj and 105 from Paul Sawyer of Wycombe got Bucks up to 279 in reply.

Sawyer then turned his arm over to take two for 28 as Northumberland crashed to 182 in their second innings, before Wycombe’s David Cranfield-Thompson top-scored for Bucks with 43 not out in 189-6.

Bucks have now drawn both their matches in the Minor Counties Championship and are mid-table in the Eastern Division.

Bucks’ next game is against Suffolk in July, at Gerrards Cross’ Dukes Lane ground.
