WYCOMBE Wanderers have raided League One side Brentford to complete the double signing of frontman Ben Strevens and full-back Danny Foster.

The Blues beat off competition from Carlisle United to snap up 30-year-old hitman Strevens, who has signed a two-year deal at Adams Park.

The former Barnet and Dagenham & Redbridge striker notched six times for The Bees last term.

The Chairboys have also brought in the highly-rated right-back Foster, who is a former England under-18 international, from the League One club.

The 25-year-old defender has put pen to paper on a one-year contract to link up with Strevens and goalkeeper Nikki Bull, who also moved from Griffin Park this month.

Blues boss Gary Waddock further bolstered his back line with the signing of Dave Winfield from Aldershot this week.
