RUNNERS will be stocking up on carbohydrates next week as they put the final touches to their preparations for the Grant & Stone Wycombe Half Marathon.
Regarded as one of the toughest in the country, the race takes place at 9.30am on Sunday, July 18, starting and finishing at The Rye.
Nearly 1,000 runners took part last year, with New Zealander Nicholas Browne first over the line and Wycombe mum Samantha Amend winning the women’s race.
And if 13 miles sounds too much like hard work, the 10k race takes place at the same time.
Anyone wanting to take part can just turn up on the day, entries cost £15, or they can pre enter at handycrossrunners.co.uk
