WANDERERS manager Gary Waddock will take a huge squad to Chesham United next Tuesday night, and says there is a good chance that a number of trialists will also travel with him.
Wanderers take on Andy Leese’s Southern League Premier outfit in their first pre-season friendly of the season, ko 7.45pm, with Waddock saying getting fitness into his players will be his main priority.
He said: “Games at this stage are there for fitness so we’ll be taking quite a few with us and most of them will get on.”
Waddock has signed the best part of new team this summer and still wants one more, but says he won’t be looking too closely at how players play together at this stage.
He said: “It’s far too early to be looking at combinations.”
