WANDERERS have decided not to pursue their interest in 21-year-old former Chelsea youngster Liam Bridcutt.
The defensive midfielder played in Blues’ 2-1 defeat against Reading on Saturday and conceded a penalty but Blues will not be taking it any further.
Manager Gary Waddock said of the player who has staked up 29 appearances in loan spells at Watford, Stockport and Yeovil. “He’s an extremely talented player but we won’t be pursuing it any further.”
The Blues have also turned away former Brentford defender Mark Phillips.
The centre back made a good impression during his trial period at Adams Park but Blues shelved their interest in him as soon as they landed centre back Alan Bennett on a one year deal from Brentford last week.
