HIGH March School showed off their superiority on the netball courts by picking up two medals at the Chiltern District Championship.
The Year Six A team only conceded one goal as they swept all before them to claim gold, while the B side took silver as they also got to their final before a single-goal loss.
After sailing through the opening stages the Ledborough Lane, Beaconsfield, school’s A team thumped Stoke Poges 5-1 before beating Chalfont St Peter 5-0 in the final.
Player Jade Patel said: “I’ve really enjoyed playing netball at High March. The A team has had lots of success and all the hard work we’ve put in has definitely been worth it. I will be sad to see the netball season come to an end.”
The B team also made their final but lost out to the Gateway team by just one goal. Sophia Bradshaw, one of the B team players, said: “I think it was the best the B team have played this year. We were all so happy to be awarded a silver medal.”
PE teacher Gemma Bettis said: “I would like to congratulate all the Year Six girls for having done so well. They have played a very high standard of netball all season and they thoroughly deserve this success.”
