A CHANGE of manager at QPR could scupper Wanderers boss Gary Waddock's plans to bring Martin Rowlands back to Adams Park.

The former Ireland international made 12 appearances for Blues during a three-month loan spell and Waddock wants to bring him back to the club.

But Rangers' sacking of Neil Warnock this week could hamper his wish, with new boss Mark Hughes looking to run the rule over his squad.

Waddock said: "He's on the radar. With the change there, Mark Hughes will have a look at everybody there and then decide whether they are going to be part of the club's future or not.

"He's under contract at QPR and we'll have to wait and see."

Star striker Marcello Trotta's loan spell comes to an end next week and Waddock said he would speak to his parent club Fulham after Saturday's game against Preston.

Fulham manager Martin Jol said this week he is happy to let the Italian stay with Blues beyond the expiry of his current loan deal, which has already been extended once by Waddock.

The Blues boss said: "We'll speak to them after the Preston game. He's done well since he's been here. Fulham and Martin Jol have been very good to us. We'll follow that up next week."

Meanwhile fellow loanee Anthony McNamee has gone back to MK Dons after his month's stay came to an end.

Waddock said he would speak to Dons manager Karl Robinson later today about the 28-year-old winger, who scored twice during his spell at Adams Park.
