Josh Davison’s double gave Shrewsbury a dramatic 3-2 victory at rock-bottom Crawley to pile more misery on under-pressure Red Devils boss Colin Kazim-Richards.

A topsy-turvy game had seen Shrewsbury come back from an early goal down to lead 2-1 and though Dylan Morgan hit a late equaliser, Davison had the final say in the last minute of stoppage time.

Kazim-Richards acknowledged the pressure he was under as Crawley boss ahead of the clash by describing the next two games as “massive”.

The Red Devils made the perfect start when Stephen Duke-McKenna delivered a pinpoint cross and Ade Adeyemo stole in to head home from close range in the fourth minute.

Duke-McKenna sent the recalled Osman Kamara clear four minutes later, but his shot was parried by keeper Will Brook.

Shrewsbury hit back to level on 62 minutes when George Lloyd fed Davison and he fired under keeper Vito Mannone for his third goal of the season and first for two months.

Top scorer Lloyd put Shrewsbury ahead from close in on 82 minutes but forward Morgan made it 2-2 only three minutes later with a tremendous 25-yard shot.

Remarkably there was still time for Davison to seal an exciting victory for his side with a close-range finish after keeper Mannone had parried Thomas Sang’s shot.
