Anti Social Behaviour (ASB): Continuing from last month we are gradually receiving reports of anti-social behaviour within the rural area. The reported locations have changed from last month, one being a person riding a quad bike in Longwick without a helmet. The second incident was up in Bledlow where a football club presentation evening was taking place; youths attending this event flowed into Lyde gardens. Police attended and took details of persons present.

Throughout the summer holidays we have been running an operation which has been concentrating on anti-social behaviour at beauty spot car parks. This has been very successful with only one crime being reported in the various locations.

Anything deemed to be of an anti-social manner by residents should be called into the Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.

Speeding: Since the last update the team along with partnership agencies and Roads Policing have undertaken 2 speed enforcement operations in the following areas: • A speed enforcement operation was carried out on 6 August by the local Neighbourhood Policing team, the Thames Valley safer roads partnership and road safety officers from Transport for Buckinghamshire in two locations during the morning. The first targeted was Chinnor Road in Bledlow Ridge whereby 14 drivers were dealt with, the top three recorded speeds were 65, 51 & 51 mph. The road was wet and at these speeds there was potential for a serious accident. As a result of this we are liaising with partner agencies to look into the possibility of getting more done to reduce speeding cars in this road.

• Thame Road in Longwick was the other location targeted which resulted in 8 drivers being dealt with, the fastest of which was travelling at 48mph. These results support the continued use of such speed enforcement operations in the area over the coming months.

We are currently trying to recruit new persons to help out with the Community Speed Watch project; the aim of the project is to monitor the speed of traffic on local roads where local residents consider being an issue. To become involved with Community Speed Watch or to obtain information on the project please contact PSCO Lisa Roberts on lisa.roberts@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk for further details.

Burglary: In the past month there have been two non dwelling burglaries reported, the first was in Marsh whereby office equipment was stolen, the other was an attempt at Ellesborough Golf Club but no entry was gained.

We would like to remind people that even during the warm weather to lock all doors and windows when going out, do not leave sheds open or gardening equipment lying around, also close car windows and do not leave valuables visible in your cars.

Please either contact your Neighbourhood Policing team or visit www.crimereduction.gov.uk for advice on locks, lighting and other tips to make your property or car more secure.

Miscellaneous: There have been 12 reported crimes within the area in the month of August which shows a slight increase from last months figures.

Three making off without payments from the local Longwick Petrol Station, Four reports of criminal damage around the area, three of which were to vehicles in Longwick and Butlers cross, along with criminal damage to a gate in Great Kimble.

One theft in a dwelling in Walters Ash.

A vehicle found burnt out in Loosley Row, upon further enquiries the vehicle was found to be a Peugeot 206 which had been reported stolen to police the same day.

Along with the two burglary non-dwellings mentioned above.
