TIC Dynamos extended their lead at the top of the Lancaster Honda North Lancashire and District Football League Premier Division as they hit six to go eight points clear.

The surprise package look capable of going the full distance - and the goals flooded in against Westgate Wanderers on Saturday.

Steve Wiggins hit an excellent hat-trick with the prolific Leon Guirke and Layton Young also finding the net.

Adam Gardner scored the other goal from the penalty spot as Dynamos romped to their 6-2 triumph, although Paul Baines and Jonathan Agar did manage consolation strikes for Westgate.

There was a major shock on Willow Lane as Marsh United lost for the first time this season as buoyant Ingleton won 3-1.

The visitors raced into a 2-0 lead through Jonathan Boadle and Chris Jackson before the Marsh day turned even worse as Jordan Sparks put through his own net.

That jolted the Marsh into wave after wave of attack - but all they had to show for their efforts was Mark Hetherington's consolation.

They are now 15 points behind leaders TIC Dynamos - but they do have six games in hand.

Storeys held their nerve to stay in second spot as they beat Boys Club 4-3 in a thriller.

Storeys should have been 2-0 up inside the first minute but they squandered their chances.

The game was a real end-to-end affair but Storeys edged it thanks to a brace from Steve Stirzaker and strikes from Andy Sanderson and Paul Boyle.

It was hard luck for Boys Club's Richard Chambers, though, as he hit a hat-trick only to finish on the losing side.

Russell Mitchell and Luke Ogley were on target for Highgrove - but they still went down 3-2 at Kirkby Lonsdale, while Joe Lambert and Stuart Talbot hit goals for Morecambe Royals in their 2-1 win over Slyne-with-Hest.

Torrisholme slipped into even deeper relegation trouble as they were brushed aside 4-0 at home to Galgate as goals from Chris Haslam, Charles Andrews, Tom Gammon and Kenroy Keenan made it an easy afternoon's work.

In Division One, Anthony Rigby's goal was the only difference between Community Sports and Grange as they slugged it out in the mud, while Lancaster City Council probably wished their trip to Cartmel had been cancelled as they slumped 4-0.

Postponements were the order of the day in Division Two as just two games beat the weather, Freehold losing 2-0 to Millhead and goals from Graham Cassidy and Carl Gibbon seeing Morecambe Cricket Club to a 2-0 win over Kirkby Lonsdale Rangers.

Joe Bouskill, Matt Murphy and Matty Pavli were on target for Bowerham in Division Three as they romped to a 3-1 win over Arnside Reserves, while Ben Pye bagged a brace and Lee Cubbage scored the other as Boys Club Reserves drew 3-3 with Allithwaite Rangers.

Geoff Proctor, Oliver Bailey and Mike Butler scored for Gregson as they beat Furness Rovers 3-2, while Keiron Harwood and Joe Daley bagged braces and Matt Burkitt found the net for Central Pier as they thrashed Galgate Reserves 5-1, while Mark McKenna and Jamie Robertson scored for Moorlands in their 2-2 draw with Grange.

But all the sides are playing catch-up as Highgrove Reserves maintained their lead at the top with a 2-1 win over Burton Thistle thanks to goals from Andy Bushell and Peter Myerscough.

Heysham beat Carnforth Reserves in Division Four's Cunningham Cup, while in league action Middleton Reserves thrashed Bentham's second string 4-1.
