A HIGH Wycombe business-man who believes that he captured a drug deal on CCTV is still waiting for police to pay him a visit four weeks later.

Bryn Gosney, who runs Programming Services, expected investigating police officers to arrive at his Gordon Road factory in High Wycombe within hours of reporting the crime.

But despite saving the footage, and discovering bags that Mr Gosney believes were used in a deal, the closest the amateur sleuth has come to a real policeman is a voice at the end of his phone.

He told the Free Press: "I find it difficult to believe. I reported it straight away and the Wycombe CID said they were on to it. I can't say much more than I've still got all the footage and nobody wants to see it.

"What's the point in reporting crime if nobody in the police wants to do anything about it?

"They've got people doing their job for them, and they still can't be bothered."

Detectives were notified last month after Mr Gosney consulted his CCTV stills.

Shortly afterwards Mr Gosney claims that empty bags were found in the factory car park bags clearly identified on the tape.

But a day passed before detectives finally called to the Gordon Road site more than an hour after everyone in the factory had packed up and gone home. Detectives have not returned.

Mr Gosney added: "I had all of this evidence that I caught on my CCTV system waiting here for them.

"Obviously drugs and drug deals are no longer a priority. I'm sure the police are busy people but how busy?

"The people involved in this may have been involved in other crimes.

"Maybe they're wanted for other crimes. I've got this stuff and no one wants it."

A tape shows bags being transferred from one party to another in the factory car park.

Thames Valley Police were unavailable for comment.
