Plymouth Argyle manager Steven Schumacher admits that his side ‘rode their luck’ as the League One table-toppers defeated Wycombe Wanderers 1-0 at Adams Park.

Sam Cosgrove scored the winner after just seven minutes via the penalty spot following a Daryl Horgan on the striker.

The goal came on what was his first start for the club, as the Pilgrims ended a seven-match winless run against the Chairboys, which dated back to September 2015.

Speaking after the match at Adams Park, Schumacher told the press: “They [Plymouth] were outstanding.

“They were outstanding because I know how much of a tough place this is to come.
