Reading manager Rubén Sellés believes his side were ‘the best team’ following their 2-1 away victory at Wycombe Wanderers.
The Royals defeated their Thames Valley rivals at Adams Park thanks to goals from Sam Smith and ex-Chairboy Lewis Wing, which cemented their first league win on the road since November 12, 2022.
The moment Reading fans wanted but Wycombe fans dreaded.

The defeat means Wanderers are now winless in six in the league, whilst the Royals ended their 12-month unwanted away record.

Rubén gives his reflections on a dominant performance and a well-merited win that we saw through to the end 💙
“We didn’t get any points in the league away from home, but we put in some performances that deserved it.
“Today [November 25] we were the best team on the pitch for 100 minutes and the team is growing.
I don’t want tonight to end. To outsiders it’s just a win against Wycombe in November. To us it’s the end of a year of hurt. Time to build on it on Tuesday #readingfc
