A resident who lives at Marlow’s Cliveden Manor Care Home recently celebrated his 100th birthday.

Ted Brown, who is originally from Liverpool, celebrated his milestone birthday on December 17, 2019, where he spent it with family and friends.

He moved to Marlow in 2014 with his wife Rene, but she sadly passed away a few months later.

They were married for 64 years.

During a speech at Ted’s party, a family member said: “For us, Ted’s family, what can we say about this remarkable achievement? This remarkable man?

“There aren’t really the words because of this, a special man who stands in our opinion head and shoulders above the rest of us.

“We are so proud of all his achievements and of course this is just a simple precis of his longevity and life.

“We are so lucky to have him still and are so grateful for the role he has played and still plays in all the lives of his family.

“Above all, we are just simply proud to call him dad, grandad or great-grandad.

“Happy 100th dad with love, and we thank you for all you are to all of us.”
