UPDATE: Drivers urged to be careful at junction after traffic lights knocked out in car crash
A car crashed into a traffic light early this morning - closing a major High Wycombe road and leaving a man injured.
London Road was shut at around 5.30am after a BMW crashed into a traffic light at the Hammersley Lane junction, eventually coming to rest around 100 metres down the road.
The road was shut between Hammersley Lane and Rayners Avenue while emergency services were at the scene.
Firefighters from High Wycombe had to release a man from the wreckage of the car. He was injured and looked after by South Central Ambulance Service.
