A Marlow-based marketing agency shut up shop one day early at the end of October, to help a nearby activity centre.

The BWP Group, which is based on Third Avenue in the town, closed their doors on Friday, October 30, to help staff members at Longbridge Activity Centre to support its annual winter closing.

Those who work at the marketing agency helped out with maintenance work, such as building bunk beds for the overnight dorms, clearing leaves and helping to store away the equipment, ready for the winter shut down.

One day's work from the BWP team, has saved the centre five days allowing their staff to focus on the essential time with the children that visit.

BWP’s CEO Richard Beasley said: “2020 has been an incredibly tough year for everyone but it has really impacted the charity sector and, at this particularly challenging time, we wanted to spread some light and help organisations affected within our local community.

“Longridge is a great local charity which provides access to experiences and activities for some 80,000 children each year, so we are delighted to be able provide much-needed support.”
