Thames Valley Police have referred themselves to a watchdog after a shocking video appeared to show a police officer telling a YouTuber who was filming High Wycombe police station to show his ID or “f*** off” before handcuffing him. 

The force announced it was internally investigating the video, posted on YouTube channel koleeberks on November 28, which showed a man being confronted by two officers while he was filming an "audit" of the Queen Victoria Road station.

The incident happened on Saturday and so far, the video has more than 94,000 views. 

Now Thames Valley Police have said following their internal investigation, the incident has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC). 

A voluntary referral is normal practice 'when there is public interest to do so', the force said.

The police have said they'll make no further comment at this point.
