More rain is expected to hit Buckinghamshire this week as high water levels have been spotted around the county.

The wet weather is due to hit parts of Bucks on Thursday, February 4 from 2pm, with the rain expected to last for around six hours, according to the Met Office.

Friday, February 5, is expected to be dry with some sunny spells but on Saturday, February 6, rain is expected to hit Bucks again with snow also due to fall across the county over the weekend.

Some residents in the county have already dealt with high water levels this week, as photos have shown that large parts of the River Thames, mainly on the stretches in Marlow, Little Marlow and Bisham have risen considerably due to the wet weather.

And whilst the Mayor of Marlow, Richard Scott, confirmed on February 3 that no properties had yet been flooded in the town, sandbags have been delivered in areas that are susceptible to flooding.

He said: “Obviously the river is running very high, levels have appeared to level off this morning but there is a lot of rain to come down.

"We hope it won’t go any higher.

“The town council Is not aware of any properties that have been flooded.

“There are so low lying areas and some garden that have been flooded in Gossmore region of Marlow."

In total, Gov.uk have issued 19 flooding alerts for the county as rain is expected to hit in the next day or so.
