Proposals have been put forward to convert part of the Halifax branch in High Wycombe town centre into new residential properties.

Developers have put forward the proposals to convert part of the ground floor of the property, currently filled by Halifax, into part retail usage and part shop usage.

This would mean the downsizing of the current branch which planners have stated in their application is suitable given the current economic climate.

Currently, offices occupy the space on the first floor of the property.

Developers hope to use this space to create four one-bedroom flats.

These will be constructed by removing the existing side elevation of the 1980s extension and creating a set of enclosed bays.

The fenestration will replicate the window styling opposite found on the former Three Tuns PH except for the ground floor, which will be modern full-length windows with the integrated doorway.
