PLANS to convert a vacant office building into new flats have been submitted to the council.

The part two-storey, part three-storey Grade II Listed property is currently a vacant office building.

Mr Caracciolo’s firm intends to create five one-bed and three two-bed flats, according to a council report.

And all are destined for the ‘housing market’, it adds.

The nine existing parking spaces will be retained, it also states.

The owner is believed to reside at The Drive in Ickenham. They have been notified, the report states.

A design and access statement reads: “The building has been unused and standing empty for around five years.

“Some remedial works were undertaken in 2018/19 to address historic flood damage, but the building continues to deteriorate.”

It adds: “The proposal will bring a previously neglected heritage asset back into meaningful use and ensure its future preservation.”

An officer report in 2020 stated “re-use of the site for employment generating uses is no longer practicable”.

London Green Ltd is now ‘awaiting a decision’ from Bucks Council.
