Concerns are growing in Flackwell Heath after a waterpipe has burst.

It is alleged that the pipe, which is based on Blind Lane in the village, has burst twice today [Monday, April 19].

After the alleged second burst, residents took to social media to reveal the situation, with one person saying: "Drain has burst (again), just down from the park on Blind Lane.

"Tarmac is breaking up and water [is] flowing down the hill.

"Be careful if you are on a bike, particularly as it's a messy bit of road."

The user also revealed that the incident has been reported on the website, Fix My Street. 

Following the pipe burst, Thames Water published a statement this afternoon, which reads: "Our engineers have responded quickly after a third party damaged one of our water pipes.

"They’ve managed to move water around our network and restore supplies for most customers.

"If you’ve been affected, we know how inconvenient this will have been.

"Thank you for your patience while we’ve been working to sort this out.

"We’re now preparing to start the repair work.

"The pipe is in a field, so there should be no impact to traffic locally.
