Car insurance can be expensive and a pain to renew, but we all have it for a very good reason – to protect ourselves and others if something bad happens on the road.

Unfortunately, some selfish drivers think they can save some money and not bother with insurance – putting everyone else on the roads at risk.

See below for a list of offenders who were convicted for driving without insurance at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court from June 22 to July 19.

Christopher Bowd, 42, of Stephenson Close, High Wycombe. Using a motor vehicle without third party insurance in London Road, High Wycombe on September 15, 2020. Fined £369. Costs £117. Disqualified from driving for one month.

Oliver Garcia, 40, of Tring Road, Aylesbury. Using a motor vehicle without third party insurance in Russell Avenue, Aylesbury on May 12, 2020. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Costs £119. Driving record endorsed with six points.

Korron Nelson, 27, of Piggotts Orchard, Aylesbury. Driving without due care and attention in White Hill, Chesham, on October 3, 2020. Fined £80. Costs £205. Driver of a vehicle that failed to stop after a road accident in White Hill, Chesham, on October 3, 2020. Must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months. Failing to report a road accident on October 3, 2020. No separate penalty. Using a motor vehicle without third-party insurance in White Hill, Chesham, on October 10, 2020. Fined £120. Disqualified from driving for six months.

Jermaine Hay, 41, of Rutland Avenue, High Wycombe. Driving while disqualified in Orchard Road, High Wycombe on December 24, 2020. Fined £120. Using a motor vehicle without third party insurance in Orchard Road, High Wycombe on December 24, 2020. Fined £120.

Awais Hussain, 25, of Whitelands Road, High Wycombe. Using a motor vehicle without third party insurance in Premier Way, High Wycombe, on March 12, 2020. Fined £660. Costs £151. Disqualified from driving for two years.

Anton Mozgovey, 26, of Station Road, Gerrards Cross. Using a motor vehicle without third party insurance in Windsor End, Beaconsfield on February 10. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Costs £107. Driving record endorsed with six points.

Steven Sanga, 45, of Blind Lane, Bourne End. Failure to provide specimen at Maidenhead Police Station on June 18, 2020, when suspected of having driven a vehicle. Committed to prison for 23 weeks concurrent. Costs £678. Disqualified from driving for 63 months. Driving whilst disqualified on the M40, Beaconsfield, on June 18, 2020. Committed to prison for 23 weeks concurrent. Using a motor vehicle without third party insurance on the M40 in Beaconsfield on June 18, 2020. No separate penalty.

Amar Janhangir, 25, of Booker Lane, High Wycombe. Driving whilst disqualified in Bridge Street, High Wycombe on February 24. Committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months. Costs £213. Warren Brown, 49, of Marlow Road, Bourne End. Using a motor vehicle without third party insurance in Wooburn Town, High Wycombe on October 20, 2020. Fined £440. Costs £134. Driving record endorsed with six points.
