Firefighters and police officers were called to a block of flats in High Wycombe as fireworks were let off in a communal area.

Bucks Fire and Rescue said that the fireworks caused "smoke" on the third floor as crews from High Wycombe and Beaconsfield attended the flats on Chequers Avenue at 9.20pm on October 30.

No one was injured from the incident but the police confirmed an investigation has been launched.

A Thames Valley police spokesman said: "An investigation is ongoing and we would ask anyone with information to report online quoting reference 43210490511."
