A stop and search order has been issued in Bucks after police received reports of youths carrying weapons.

The section 60 order, which grants officers additional stop and search powers, has been put in place in Bletchley covering the highlighted area on the map above.

The temporary order was enacted following reports of a violent disorder between several youths who were armed with weapons at around 5.30pm yesterday (Tuesday)

Three youths have been arrested and remain in custody. Officers have so far recovered two bladed articles from the area.

Police will be able to stop and search anyone within the highlighted area of the map, which covers the areas within the H6 Childs Way, the V1 Snellshall Street, the H8 Standing Way, Whaddon Road, Stoke Road, the A416 Stoke Road and the A5D.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to the disorder to come forward.

Inspector Phil Turner-Robson, based at Milton Keynes police station, who authorised the Section 60 order, said: “We have put this order in place to give officers extra powers and provide reassurance to the public as well as preventing any further violent disorder in the area of Bletchley.

“We are also asking anyone with information regarding the incident which happened started at around 5.30pm this evening near to Bletchley bus station, to please come forward and call 101 quoting reference 1521 01/03/2022.

“Or if they do not wish to speak to the police they can call Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
