Three men armed with baseball bats and a meat cleaver stole £200,000 worth of jewellery in Beaconsfield New Town.

The men forced their way into Elite HNW jewellers and threatened staff before leaving down Burkes Road in a grey Audi, with the partial registration of GK15.

Police officers cordoned off the jewellery store for a number of hours following the robbery on The Highway at around 10.15am this morning (March 8).

A number of bystanders saw the men flee the store which also sells a range of premium luxury watches.

Nobody was injured during the robbery.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Mark Banham, based at Amersham police station said: “We are appealing for witnesses at two places in relation to this incident.

“Firstly, at the jewellery store and then also anyone that witnessed the offenders discarding the jewellery at the bus stop a short time later.

“I am particularly keen to speak to anyone that has dash-cam footage from Burkes Road and was in the area between 10.15am and 10.30am today.
