Shocking footage shows the moment three armed men broke into a Beaconsfield jewellers and stole £200,000 worth of items.

The men were armed with a baseball bat, a hammer, and a meat cleaver as they smashed through the front door of Elite HNW jewellers in the New Town at The Highway.

CCTV footage shows three men being dropped off by a grey Audi and raiding the shop before running off at 10:15am towards Burkes Road.

Thames Valley Police has now launched an investigation and are appealling for witnesses at the jewellery store and then also anyone that witnessed the robbers discarding the jewellery at the bus stop at the bottom of Burkes Road.

Police also want to speak to anyone that has dash-cam footage from Burkes Road and was in the area between 10.15am and 10.30am today (March 8).

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Mark Banham, based at Amersham police station said: “We are appealing for witnesses at two places in relation to this incident.

“Firstly, at the jewellery store and then also anyone that witnessed the offenders discarding the jewellery at the bus stop a short time later.

“I am particularly keen to speak to anyone that has dash-cam footage from Burkes Road and was in the area between 10.15am and 10.30am today.

“If you have any information please call 101 or make a report online quoting reference number 43220102266.

“Alternatively, for 100% anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
