A man who harassed his victim on a fitness app used for tracking running and cycling has been issued with a restraining order.
Jonathon Wool, 43, of Old Farm Close in Aylesbury, has also been ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work for his harassment of the woman.
At a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on February 21, the court heard how between November 1, 2020 and November 29, 2020, Wool used a variety of means to pursue the woman.

The justices heard how he contacted the woman on 31 separate occasions via email, Whatsapp messages, voicemail messages and phone calls.
Wool went even further, using less conventional ways of communication via the fitness tracker app Strava.
The app allows users to share their workouts with their friends, and allows people to comment each other’s activities – usually in a friendly and encouraging manner.
In this case, though, Wool used the app for more sinister purposes.
At the hearing, Wool pleaded guilty to one count of harassment without violence.
He was handed a restraining order preventing him from contacting the victim by any means, including on social media. It also prohibits him from going within 100 metres of her.
Wool must also carry out 80 hours of unpaid work within a year and must pay £180 in court costs.
