Homes in Gerrards Cross are set to be without electricity for more than 12 hours. 

The unplanned outage was reported to Scottish and Southern Electricity at 10.25am today (August 19) along High Beeches and Fulmer Drive.

Residents preparing for the weekend in SL9 7HE, SL9 7HF, SL9 7HU, SL9 7LP, SL9 7LS and SL9 7LW postcode will be cut off until 10pm, when engineers are expected to have fixed the fault.

The provider SSE said: “We’re sorry for the loss of supply.

“Our engineers are on site working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can.”
