NANDOS, Starbucks and it's very own Wetherspoons - it's no surprise that Beaconsfield service station is named one of the best in the UK.

Dozens of surveys and polls have seen the service station come out on top as the best place for a pit stop.

Which.co.uk has identified which motorway service company is head and shoulders above the rest. 

And Beaconsfield has once again been named one of the best service stations in the UK.

According to their research, the service station at junction 2 of the M40, is ninth in the UK, only behind Stafford North services on the M6.

It has placed Beaconsfield services here based on a number of factors, including its range and quality of shops/food outlets, prices and cleanliness.

Here's how it ranked for these three factors: 

  • Quality of shops: 4/5 
  • Prices: 3/5
  • Cleanliness: 3/5

Gloucester Services was ranked as the best with a customer satisfaction score of 86%.

The worst motorway service was given to Bridgewater due to its confusing layout and 'cramped split level car park'.
