Eagle-eyed buyers could snatch a home for a bargain price in Buckinghamshire this new year.
Although the county is not best known for affordable house prices, home buyers can spot bargains on the market in 2023.
The average house price in Buckinghamshire sits at £563,000 according to Land Registry figures.
For example in Princes Risborough, houses on average are just below the county average at £520,000.
Here are some of the cheapest properties currently on the market for only a faction of the county's average price.
Alexandra Road, High Wycombe
If you’re on the hunt for a two-bedroom home, this Wycombe semi-detached maisonette is up for grabs for £260,000.
It comes with a private garden, handy driveway parking and proximity to the stores and retail park off London Road.
On average, properties in High Wycombe sold for £432,900 last year, according to Rightmove.
Northern Road, Aylesbury
In addition to two bedrooms and one bathroom, this property boasts a private garden, allocated parking, double-glazed windows and gas central heating for £240,000.
Located less than a mile from Aylesbury train station, it’s advertised as an ideal first time buy or an investment.
However, the property needs “some updating”, the sellers warn.
Homes in Aylesbury overall sold for an average price of £344,979 last year, while semi-detached houses had an average price of £369,409, Rightmove said.
Stratford Road, Buckingham
The two-bedroom home in Buckingham town centre has a courtyard, and is ready to move in. It also has a lounge and dining area, separate toilet downstairs and bathroom upstairs, gas radiators and sealed doubled glazed windows.
Advertised as an ideal first time buy, its asking price is £250,000.
On average, all kinds of properties in Buckingham area sold for £409,217 last year, while semi-detached houses fetched an average of £358,529.

Field Lane, Greenlays, Milton Keynes
This two-bedroom end of terrace home is said to be located in a popular residential area with transport links and a rear garden.
For £235,000 first time buyers can get a home close to Ofsted ‘good’ and ‘outstanding’ rated schools.
On average, homes in Greenleys sold for £294,471 last year, and semi-detached for £324,526 according to Rightmove data.
