DOZENS of glass bottles were smashed in the middle of a roundabout in the heart of Chesham.
The broken bits of glass and milk crates at the junction of White Hill and Broad Street were noticed by resident Jess Pilling around 4am on January 10 on her way home from work.
Her instant reaction was to “try and clean it up” before she realised the size of the mess was too much for one person.
Instead she took to social media on OurChesham Facebook group to warn others “so people were aware and didn’t damage their cars”.
She also reported the mess through Fix My Street online service to alert Bucks Council.

The road was cleared sometime between 4am and 7am the same day, Jess said.
Buckinghamshire Council confirmed that a cleaning crew had been at the location.
