A motorcyclist was acting as an impromptu conductor in Aylesbury after a trailer containing a van was tipped upside down on the A41.

At around 10.15am on Saturday, March 11, tailbacks were seen on both sides of the road heading into Waddesdon following the incident.

It is not known how it was caused, but a passer by told the Free Press: “We were heading to the Burton vs Wycombe match when we noticed traffic on the A41 and we didn’t understand why.

“As we got closer, we saw a motorcyclist standing in the middle of the road acting as a conductor, letting cars go on one side, before doing the same on the other side.

“My mates and I then saw to our left that a van was on its rooftop whilst connected to a trailer.  

“It was upside down and it was connected to another vehicle that was in the middle of the road.

“Cars were going on the grass verge to get around it, and as we looked back, the van that was on its top was in a bad state – there was glass everywhere.

“Hopefully everyone involved was OK.”
