That being said, the Met Office has warned people around the county that the heat could give way to thunderstorms between 2pm and 9pm today (September 9).
A yellow weather warning was issued for most of the midlands and some southern areas of the UK yesterday but is not expected to reach any further south than Salisbury.
While temperatures are expected to remain above 20, the weather will begin to turn on Sunday, with forecasts predicting post-thunderstorm highs of 21 degrees.
