A charity book signing will take place in Chalfont St Peter this weekend.

Taking place at the Vinny and Ted’s Bar in the town on Saturday, December 9, members of the public can meet author Neil Bradshaw and purchase his book, ‘The Switch’, with the proceeds being donated to the Ruth Strauss Foundation.

Named after the late wife of professional cricketer Andrew Strauss who is based in Marlow, the charity cares for young families experiencing bereavement.

This comes in what is the fifth anniversary of Ruth’s sad passing, which took place on December 29, 2018.

Neil said: “The bar, located in the precinct, is partly owned by two former international cricketers, so the choice of charity was an easy one.

“I’m hoping that people who have already bought the book will come along and buy another copy as a Christmas gift for either friend or family.”

The book focuses on two identical twin brothers who regularly switch identities, but at the age of 18, they decide to go their separate ways.

Living completely different lives, they reunite in adulthood with one facing a dilemma and they must decide to see if they can switch lives.

The book signing will take place between 4pm and 7pm.
